Gedi Sibony (b. 1973, New York) lives and works in New York. Sibony received his BA from Brown University in 1995, followed by an MFA from Columbia University in 2000. He also studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine in 1999. Recent solo exhibitions include Mister Fahrenheit, New York; UNITED ARTISTS, Ltd., Marfa, Texas; Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin; Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, St. Louis; Culturgest, Lisbon; and Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. In 2015, Sibony was featured in “All the World’s Futures” at the 56th Venice Biennale, curated by Okwui Enwezor. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
