About

Victor Man (b.1974) lives and works in Rome and Cluj, Romania. He has been the subject of a number of solo exhibitions at institutions worldwide, including: Städel Museum, Frankfurt (2023); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Italy (2022); Museo Tamayo, Mexico City (2018); Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle, Berlin (2014) travelled to Haus der Kunst, Munich; National Gallery of Art, Warsaw (2014); Villa Medici, Rome (2013); and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam (2009). Man has been included in group exhibitions at notable institutions such as Busan Museum of Modern Art, Busan, China; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Fondation Beyeler, Riehen, Switzerland; Fondazione Memmo, Rome; Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bergamo, Bergamo, Italy; Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, Rome; Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, Rome; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, California; The Warehouse, Rachofsky Collection, Dallas, Texas; and UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, Shanghai. Man represented Romania at the 52nd Venice Biennial in 2007. In 2014, he received the “Artist of the Year” award from Deutsche Bank.
