Michael Williams: How to Ruin An Omelette
Michael Williams reworks imagery from the information culture that circulates on social media, pornography and false advertising in How to Ruin an Omelet. Mannequin stencils turn into humorous and whimsical images that defy the initial purpose of fashion design—by using markers and colored pencils, Williams creates unlikely scenes out of each dotted silhouette. What is thus created is an edition of creative improvisation and make-believe, produced through rough draughtsmanship and the reorientation of readily available visual information. This book is the third in a series of artist's books by Michael Williams, following California Land for Sale!! and Yoga Online.
