Ugo Rondinone (b. 1964, Brunnen, Switzerland) studied at the Universität fur Angewandte Kunst in Vienna before moving to New York in 1997 where he currently lives and works. Rosemarie Trockel (b. 1952, Schwerte, West Germany) lives and works in Potsdam, Germany. She has been the subject of major solo exhibitions including: Rosemarie Trockel, Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt (2022); Reflections / Riflessoni. Rosemarie Trockel and works from Torino Collections, Pinacoteca Agnelli, Torino, Italy (2016); A Cosmos, which originated at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid (2012) and traveled to the New Museum, New York (2012) and Serpentine Gallery, London (2013); and Flagrant Delight, which was presented at Wiels, Brussels; Culturgest, Lisbon; and Museion, Bolzano, Italy (2012). Her work is currently on view at the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa with the traveling exhibition curated by Lynne Cooke.
